My undergraduate days were spent at Virginia Commonwealth University - at the time the number 3 public art school in the country (and now number 1). Perhaps the thing I was most proud of as a student was that no fraternities or sororities were allowed there whatsoever. In fact, no clubs of any kind. I always felt that kept us honest in a very unique way and helped shape me as a young adult. Somewhere along the way I became a disciple of the Woody Allen by way of Groucho Marx theory: I wouldn't want to be a part of a club that wanted me as a member (paraphrased).
